I want to go home
today is Bubby School for Adam. He normally loves it and looks forward to getting there. It was raining when we got there so everyone was inside. Our normal routine is to put his little bag in a slot and a kiss goodbye and I am gone.
Not today Adam hung to me like we were in a raging river. After just standing there for ages I managed to coax Adam to the blocks and he got into making a tower. So seeing he was ok I said goodbye and was leaving. As I locked the gate Adam came racing forth, hysterical, saying he wanted to go home with Daddy. Then one of the carers came up and said he would be ok and started to help. I had to turn and walk away as he cried for me. I think this may be one of the first times I have walked away from Adam when he needed me.
I think he will enjoy himself today....... I hope he does. In the end he goes to school because he wants to, because he enjoys it. So when do I say "ok, if you do not want to be here lets go home"? I think I may ring and see if he is ok.
